ORCID Awarded a Collaborative Research Grant from VIVO
The VIVO Collaboration has awarded a grant to ORCID for their project “The VIVO platform and ORCID in the scholarly identity ecosystem.” The VIVO Collaborative Research Projects Program provides funding for people and institutions to develop tools that use VIVO data or code to positively impact scientists and science.
The ORCID proposal was submitted by Gudmundur A. Thorisson, University of Leicester, United Kingdom; Geoffrey W. Bilder, CrossRef, Oxford, United Kingdom; and Martin Fenner, Hannover Medical School, Germany on behalf of ORCID (www.orcid.org).
ORCID is one of five awardees and will present the results of their work at the 2011 VIVO Conference, August 24-25th in Washington, DC.
