Active Community Groups
Since our beginning, ORCID has interacted with our partners and engaged community in a variety of ways; whether we call it a task force, interest group, working group, steering committee or by another name.
Even before the unexpected challenges of COVID and our Executive Director transition, 2020 was deemed a year for ORCID to step back and regroup after achieving financial break-even. While ORCID has made tremendous progress on improvements to the foundational processes, systems, and services that ensure our continued success in future years, we know we’ve temporarily stepped back from the level of intensive community engagement we’ve had in the past. We are excited to re-engage in 2021, and invite you to check out our historical community groups in the meantime.
This page provides information on active groups through which our community can get involved with ORCID.
Product Interest Group
In September 2020, ORCID hosted our first Product Interest Group webinar, welcoming nearly 100 members and key partners from all over the world.
Twice a year, the Product Team welcome members of our community to discuss new and future functionality. The team are always open to listen to ideas and there is always space to ask questions.
Please see our events page to register for our next webinar to learn more about upcoming development and future plans.
